Required Reading
The mainstream media just isn’t getting it done.
Over the last few months, I’ve been asked by relatives, co-workers, and friends for a web-log “reading list. I could go a lot of different directions here, but I’m going to stay with the news and political sites (although some of them often veer wildly into other topics from time to time.) The following ten sites should be on everyone’s daily reading list.
Give them an honest chance. Check them every other day or so. Even if you don’t agree with everything you read, I’ll guarantee that you’ll end up learning something you didn’t know.
In no order but alphabetical:
Andrew Olmstead – Just another blogger. Except smarter.
Andrew Sullivan – Excellent and balanced commentator for Time and CNN.
Common Sense & Wonder – Something new and interesting every day.
Eject, Eject, Eject! – An awesomely talented essayist. Read ALL the archives.
Instapundit – Should be required daily reading for everyone.
Lileks – Life, humor, politics and more.
One Hand Clapping – Cogent thinking from Tennessee
USS Clueless – Hard science brought to bear on almost every topic. Priceless.
Vodkapundit – A wry look at the days events.
Winds of Change – Hardcore, unflinching news from the front.
