Rancocas – BCC to Clark’s

Lauren and I paddled 6 miles today! Rancocas creek again, just a bit further to the east. It’s a much nicer section of the creek, in my opinion – heavily wooded and little in the way of houses or roads.

There was nobody on the river for the first 2-3 miles, but it picked up in the afternoon as we passed several canoes and kayaks.

We put in to the Rancocas Creek at the Smithville launch:

Then we headed east for about an hour, winding along the dusky colored river through woods and behind houses. The overhanging branches made for a cool, quiet trip. Several fishermen were out and waved to us as we passed.
