Geocaching
Diane, Lauren, and I went “Geocaching” today. We went looking for 4 caches, and found 2 of them.
We visited the following caches:
Tank You – Our own cache. It’s been in service since June of 2002, and has had over 190 visitors. We did a bit of cleaning and maintenance and dropped off a Travel Bug.
Oil Change – We made it through the first two stages, before bailing due to scary locale. Strange more than scary, actually. The cache creator used some unique placements with magnets to hide the first two legs of the cache.
Shelby’s First Hide – This was also a failure. Diane solved the puzzle without issue, but we could not locate the micro cache at the designated location. Probably will try this one again.
Tiny Treasures – Victory! This was a fun cache, especially thanks to the unique map that was part of the puzzle. It also took us to an interesting lake where lots of people were fishing…

Good times. Lauren LOVES geocaching…she gets downright despondent when it’s time to quit and go home. Who doesn’t enjoy the concept of a treasure hunt?

“she gets downright despondent when it’s time to quit and go home” I feel the same way.
