The reviews of this show have been great. I hope they tour and put out a DVD.
Jimmy Page has George Washington hair.
Sweetness. This is my all-time favorite rock band, and it’s great to see them performing at such a high level (after a couple of past disappointing “reunions”). Kudos to Jason Bonham for doing a very respectable job in taking his father’s place on the drums. Those are some big shoes to fill.
BTW Bill, your Blogroll isn’t linking to anything. It’s just all text – no links. I was hoping to pilfer Noonan’s and Husted’s links from your list while I was at work.
Works fine for me, Mike. I see all the links there, on whatever browser I use. Safari, Firefox, Camino… even IE.
Sometimes it takes awhile to load if Flickr is being slow (the MoBlog link.)
I see them too, but can you click on them? I just see the names, I can’t click on any of them. This is just standard IE on my work PC…I’ll try from home using Safari and Firefox on my Mac a little later tonight.
Yes, I can click on them, in every browser.
Sounds like your work machine is a spyware sinkhole.
I will look at the Youtube videos, but I began to notice Robert Plant’s voice becoming unsuited to the “classic” LZ material as early as _Houses Of The Holy_. This seems to be my biggest “you can never go home again” devil’s advocate objection to the LZ “reunion.” I was more or less contented to leave LZ as a memory.
I love Plant’s solo stuff in the 1980s, especially his treatment of “Sea of Love” because it suited his latter voice.
BTW I put “reunion” in quotes because without Bonzo Bonham, there can never be a true LZ reunion, anymore than The Who can be The Who without Keith Moon and John Entwistle, or the Beatles the Beatles without Harrison and Lennon.
From what I understand, there won’t be a tour, but I read yesterday where Plant will be on a tour this spring with Alison Krauss, no less.
Unfortunately, the labels had most of the youtube videos pulled. Try a search for Led Zeppelin O2 and you may find one or two up there. Plant’s voice sounded amazingly great.
Well in a strange twist, the videos are back! So give them a listen.
