What’s wrong with the world – Exhibit A.
St. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Josh Hancock died in the early morning of April 29th when the SUV he was driving struck a tow truck that was assisting a stalled motorist.
He was drunk, speeding, using a cell phone, not wearing a seatbelt, and marijuana was found in the SUV. Please take the time to read that sentence again. Let it sink in.
So naturally his father is suing the restaurant that served him the drinks, the towing company, and the driver of the stalled car.
The lawsuit faults the driver for “allowing his car to reach the point where it was stalled on the highway.” The towing service is accused of being slow in moving the stalled vehicle, and of not putting flares out. The restaurant is accused of serving Hancock drinks.
This is so utterly, completely, wrong that it’s benumbing. Read about it here, if you have the stomach.
