Scotch

I’m currently enjoying Arberlour a’bunadh, a truly intriguing single malt. Smooth, silky finish…almost a buttery mouth feel. If you are into single malt scotches, give it a go. I’m betting you’ll like it. It’s a bit pricier than their 10 or 15 year old, but more than worth it in my opinion. I think I’ve found my favorite of the moment.

And if you don’t like it you can always use it to strip the varnish off of old furniture. ;)

Could you possibly find a more expensive whiskey? Sheesh! ;)

    Certainly, but $44.99 isn’t too bad. :)

I checked a few online stores and that stuff was listed at $60. Not that I’m complaining mind you. You are just setting the standard for my future wins. I can find myself a bottle of wine that fits that price range as well. :)

I’m quoting the price from the receipt. I’ll be happy to accept the remainder in cash if you insist on spending $60… ;)

    That’s quite alright. ;)

I’ll have to give that a try. I’m partial to Lagavulin, Laphroaig, and Talisker. How does this one compare?

I find it to be the smoother than the last two. I’ve never tried Lagavulin.

Lagavulin? That sounds like some kind of anti-biotic. :)

I’m sure it could probably be used as such. :-)

Lagavulin, like Laphroaig and (I think) Talisker, is an Islay scotch. Very peaty, smoky flavor. Lagavulin isn’t quite as strong as Laphroaig, flavor-wise, and so is a fine warm-up scotch for the latter. :-)
